- The merchant website initiates a payment request via a call to the Charge/CreatePayment Web Service.
- The payment gateway returns a formToken to the merchant website.
- The merchant website uses the formToken to display the SmartForm.
- The buyer clicks on Apple Pay, the Apple Pay pop-in appears. The buyer logs in and authenticates themselves.A functionality of the SmartForm allows you to customize the payment methods configured in your shop, including Apple Pay. It allows, among other things, for the buyer to complete their entire payment journey without leaving your website. - Apple Pay sends the payload.
The SmartForm send the request to the gateway using the payload.
- The gateway analyzes the request, decrypts the card data and proceeds to an authorization request.
- The payment gateway notifies the merchant about the payment result.
- It also sends the response to the JavaScript client.
- The merchant website displays the order confirmation page.
